Marlen has the cultural knowledge and experience required to understand the priorities of international as well as domestic high net worth individuals, successful businesses and multigenerational families.

Marlen is known as a disciplined and compassionate advisor with high standards of integrity and service. Prior to co-founding Excelsis Global Private Wealth in 2021, Marlen worked at Wells Fargo Advisors, Merrill Lynch, and J.P. Morgan Chase.

Born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, Marlen grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and has lived in Alamo for nearly 20 years. She and her husband, Roberto, have two teen daughters. Marlen is proud to be the first generation of her family to call the U.S. home. She credits her humble beginnings with her strong work ethic, family values and commitment to giving back, and believes it is important to remember where you came from. Marlen is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and International Business at St. Edward’s University. She serves as vice president of the PSJA Education Foundation. Marlen enjoys fishing with her family, reading and travel, and loves entertaining in her home.
